IS JOY II

IS JOY II is a performance, an installation, an event — a radical gesture in searching for collective joy. It borrows its energy from the pulse of a rave and the spontaneity of children’s play, creating a space where bodies, objects, and sound collide into something more than performance: a living ritual.

Through the building of a futuristic structure and the search for points of resonance between performing bodies, objects, and audience, IS JOY II grows into a contemporary ritual rooted in devised and object theater, visual art, and installation practices. As performers explore endless possibilities of relating to objects, audience, space, and sound, the structure grows in matter and (dis)order, unfolding into a timeless sculpture of coexistence.

The work is ever-changing, continuously adapting to the spaces it inhabits — indoors, outdoors in public space, or at festivals. Most recently, IS JOY II was presented at the Young Lions Festival in Ljubljana in August 2025 and at festival TRIGGER in March 2026.
